International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) has come out today saying that Three NATO Soliders have been killed in a bomb blast in Southern Afghanistan.
The bomb responsible for the three deaths is what is known as an improvised explosive device or IED. This follows a suicide bombing which claimed the lives of five NATO soliders yesterday bringing the total deaths to eight in one day, the highest fatalities in a month since June last year.
At around 7:30am local time a suicide bomber dressed as an Afghanistan Army officer approached the gate of an Afghan army base where he detonated killing five soldiers.
In these latest attacks the Taliban has claimed responsibility in the war. The nationality of the soliders has not been released as of yet.
